Covid grants are used to support funding for more than personal protection equipment or social distancing needs. The Weld Trust continues to provide covid grants to nonprofits organizations and schools for many needs identified during these unprecedented times. All covid grants provided by The Weld Trust must fall within our purview of health and education in Weld County.
These are a few of the covid grants awarded by The Weld Trust this year.
- 60+ Ride was awarded a covid grant to provide transportation for individuals to covid vaccination appointments. They also used a portion of their funding toward a social media campaign to recruit additional volunteer drivers for these appointments.
- Sunrise Community Health is running an education campaign on the covid vaccine through billboards, direct mail, radio ads and social media with their covid grant.
- Weld County RE5J School District was awarded a covid grant to build summer learning plans for individual students to help with any learning gaps resulting from the altered teaching environment by covid restrictions.
The Weld Trust continues to accept applications for covid grants from nonprofits, schools or government agencies in the areas of health and education in Weld County.
