Impact Weld

Welcome to Impact Weld – a program provided by The Weld Trust to help students and their families cover costs associated with sports, tutoring or activities through their school or select nonprofit organizations.

The Weld Trust aims to open new doors for students to grow, learn, and explore their passions.

Each student selected will have up to $1,000 available to them to participate in approved activities and programs during the school year (and summer).

The funding is paid directly to the organization or school providing the activity on behalf of the student.

Students may select more than one program. The available funding is up to $1,000 combined. Any funds not used are not eligible past the school year and summer directly following. Additionally, this award is non-transferable. It may only be used by the student identified by the school district. No funds from this program are eligible to be paid directly to the student and their family.

Programs and activities the student may choose to participate in include:

School Activities:

• Sports participation fees and additional costs (e.g. cleats and equipment) if required to participate
• Academic tutoring fees
• Program or activity fees (band, orchestra, art classes, FFA, Robotics, etc.) Includes any materials, supplies or equipment needed to participate.
• Field trips or competitions

Outside of School Activities: (Enrollment in activities dependent on location)

• Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County: After school programs for youth ages 6–18
• Chance Sports: Club or recreational sports fees
• Colorado Youth Outdoors: Outdoor experiences and overnight trips
• Girl Scouts of Colorado: Outdoor exploration, hands-on STEM fun, art, friendship, and community service
• Scouting America Adventure West Council: Cub Scouts grades K-5; Boy Scouts ages 11–17
• YMCA of Northern Colorado: Safe and healthy programs for youth of all ages

RELEASE OF RECORDS/CERTIFICATION

The Weld Trust will track the success of the Impact Weld program through student success. None of the student’s personal information will be shared. All data collected will be used internally, with the participating school district and/or nonprofit organization to measure the success of the program. Agreeing to share this information is not a condition of the program.

PHOTOGRAPHS/VIDEO PICTURES/SOUNDS WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT

I understand that an employee or representative of The Weld Trust (“TWT”), may take photographs/ video pictures/or recorded sounds of me for use in published or broadcast news stories, publicity or informational materials.

On behalf of myself, my heirs and assigns, I hereby assign any and all rights in and to such photographs/ video pictures/sounds to TWT and authorize, without limitation, TWT to reproduce, copy, exhibit, broadcast or distribute any such photographs/ video pictures/or sounds of me for use in published or broadcast news stories, publicity or informational materials. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy that may be created in connection therewith.

I understand and acknowledge that I will not be paid or compensated in any way for the use of the photographs/video pictures/or sounds of me by TWT, and hereby waive all rights or claims against TWT for compensation for such use now or in the future. Recognized as one of northern Colorado’s premier nonprofits, Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County (BGCWC) has been serving youth ages 6 through 18 since 1964. A charter organization of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, BGCWC’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. They offer comprehensive youth development programs both after school and during the summer in five different Clubhouse locations across Greeley, Milliken/Johnstown, Eaton/Galeton. During the school year, BGCWC offers various activities and programs each weekday from 3– 7 p.m. The Clubs also operate a nine-week summer program from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Chance Sports provides stipends for youth athletes. They believe every kid deserves a chance to play competitive sports regardless of the price tag that comes with it. Chance Sports understands the high cost of club sports and is there to help. They will help cover: Club and tournament fees, uniforms and training kits, equipment, sports-related travel (airline tickets, hotels, gas).

Chance Sports will also cover fees related to sports at your local Recreation Center or your towns Recreation Programs.

Colorado Youth Outdoors builds relationships through outdoor recreation offering field trips, team building activities and summer camps.

CORE Program (ages 10–17): A 12-week parent-and-youth experience offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall in East Greeley. Activities and timing may vary.
Price: $300 or $150 per person, CYO can provide adult mentors if needed.

Spring Break, Summer Camp, and Leadership Camp (ages 10–14): Week-long adventures offering 10+ activities, including canoeing, archery, orienteering, and more – perfect for building skills and friendships in the great outdoors.

Leadership Camp (Ages 14–15) – $200

Scouting America Adventure West Council delivers the promise of Scouting to youth with fun and adventure, friendship, education, service and leadership.

Cub Scouts (Grades K–5)
Cub Scouts is where the adventure begins! Designed for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, Cub Scouting combines hands-on learning, outdoor fun, and teamwork to build confidence and character. Scouts explore the world through exciting activities like camping, hiking, building projects, and community service all while earning awards and making lasting friendships. Scouts BSA (Ages 11–17)
