The Weld Trust is proud to announce an expansion of their leadership team with two new positions. Rhonda Morehead is serving as their Director of Communications. As part of the Greeley community since 1998, she joined the Weld Trust with nearly twenty years of relationship management and leadership experience with a local financial institution. Rhonda has served on numerous nonprofit boards during her tenure in the community. She is an alumna of the University of Denver College of Law and Colorado State University. Rhonda is a licensed attorney.
Ramon Serrano joined the Weld Trust as their Chief Financial Officer in early February. As a resident of northern Colorado for nearly fifteen years, he joined the nonprofit organization after most recently serving as the Controller for a large local utility company. He earned his MBA at Colorado State University and his BS in Accounting at Suny Geneseo in New York. Ramon is a certified public accountant.
The Weld Trust’s Board Chair, Tom Grant, said of the leadership team expansion, “As The Weld Trust continues to develop our long-term vision and strategic goals, we are excited to have both Rhonda and Ramon join the leadership team with their diverse backgrounds and skill sets. The leadership team and staff at The Weld Trust work closely with nonprofit organizations and schools throughout Weld County toward their mission to help promote excellence in health and education in Weld County”. During 2020, The Weld Trust provided over $8.5 million in grants to nonprofit agencies aligned with their funding initiatives.
