The Weld Trust awarded a grant last year to the Fort Lupton Food and Clothing Bank (FLFCB) to support individuals and families who are food insecure in Southwestern Weld County. This grant aided with the operations of FLFCB which allowed them to continue serving their clientele while looking at expansion with additional space to meet their growing needs.
FLFCB was founded 40 years ago with $200 to help people in need in their community. In 2022, they served 10,642 people with 4,273 food boxes and 20,251 items of clothing. The number of people served increased last year.
They partner with schools, nonprofits and churches in the area to help distribute nutritious foods to individuals, families, students, older adults and migrant farm workers in need. FLFCB is also an agency partner of the Weld Food Bank.
