The Weld Trust has awarded two workforce development grants to the Northern Colorado Veterans Resource Center to support Weld County Veterans. The first grant supports their employment and job training program. This program provides workshops on employment related topics, developing and implementing each veteran’s Individualized Employment Plan, connecting veterans with potential employers, and job coaching as needed after placement to support vocational success.
The second grant supports their Peer Navigation program to assist veterans using a peer-service delivery model to help veterans relate and connect with other veterans. Through this program, veterans are guided toward assistance with behavioral health, substance abuse counseling, and spousal counseling to ensure they are better equipped to gain and maintain employment.
